“What a great weekend – great company, great breakfast, gorgeous room – the horses were lovely. See you again soon – Gold Country is exquisite” – B&S

“Your bunkhouse was so cozy and warm on this rainy weekend. Our hosts, Robin & Mark, made us feel so welcome and were extremely entertaining and informative. Seeing the original stove still in the kitchen along with photos of the Jones family almost gave one the sensation of going back in time. Breakfast was a gourmet’s delight.” - ZB

“Thanks so much for taking such good care of us. This was a wonderful time; all the hustle and bustle of life seemed to fall away in this peaceful place.” – R&C

"I just spent seven days at a wonderful bed and breakfast located in Placerville (aka "Hangtown). Placerville is halfway between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe, just off of Highway 50. It was the most relaxing week I've had in the last year; I needed to get a project completed, and I was able to finish it in five days, which meant two days of play before coming back to reality...

The Fleming Jones Homestead is an eleven-acre working farm. Mark and Robin Miller, Silicon Valley "expats", opened the inn about seven years ago, and they have great recommendations on things to do/see/eat around town. They also make their own wine (both of them worked at Paul Masson for many years prior to their Bay area stint in medical devices). Not only is the B&B kid and dog friendly (Mark and Robin love both), there are miniature horses for the kids to see (not for riding, though it may be possible for the kids to have a little cart ride).

Besides the herd of horses, acres to walk and the friendly "pack" of farm dogs, the B&B is in the heart of the Apple Hill area, featuring wineries, orchards, and a great selection of baked goodies (eg, pies bursting with local fruits - such as apples, cherries and peaches - in a flaky crust). Downtown Placerville is home to a number of fine restaurants, antique shops and art galleries. Gold Bug Park is a great place to take the kids for the afternoon. Placerville also features many hiking and biking trails - there's something there for everyone. The farm is great for a weekend jaunt, or if you need a short "I gotta get out of this rat race!" break, Robin cooks up unbelievably tasty and filling breakfasts to give you plenty of energy to relax." - S, Los Altos

“Thank you for the wonderful time. You made our 16th anniversary very special. Breakfast was so good. Thanks again, we will be back.” –K&J

"Thank you for making our weekend so memorable - your hospitality and wonderful serenity of the locale has given us the energy to go back and face the real world again. Sitting on the balcony watching the stars and milky way - having a gourmet breakfast (Blueberry Bread was to die for!) was so magnificent! Thank you - you will see us again! J&K

"Thank you for everything, your B&B and warm hospitality is bar none. I'm so happy Brian booked this B&B for my birthday weekend. I love the mini horses and all the aminals. I could go on and on. We want to come again soon, so we shall call again. We loved our stay and your breakfast was just excellent." - B&C

"What a beautiful, tranquil place to relax! Loved sitting on the deck reading, watching the horses and talking with both of you. Breakfast was great! We'll be back, I'm sure. Don't forget to go to New Zealand!" - B&B

"Well, here we are once again, our first experience in july was absolutely fabulous and thought it could not be topped! Well, you proved us wrong! Everything is just as we remembered and once again pure delight. The homey feeling, lovely surroundings, FOOD Yum!! Absolutely delicious. Scones to die for and the Blueberry Breakfast treat "out of this world" as was the whole breakfast. You two are a pure delight and I so look forward to another stay in the not too distant future." - R&D, NV

"Song of birds...Song of donkeys...Mini magic...This is home. We loved it. Thank you so much" - J&F, Moss Beach CA

Dels Cowboy offspring owners describe their own horses, truly describing this magnificent stallion!

“Dels Cowboy is the definition of a miniature horse in my opinion and we are honored to have 3 of his daughters in our breeding program. They are always the first to catch the eye of visitors with their beauty, and their hearts with their wonderful personalities.” – Kris Pastolic, Pastolic Pastures

“I have been blessed to have Landrys Cowboy Del in my show string, in my pasture and in my heart. His beauty and nobility on a daily basis outshine the trophies.” – Portia Sue Johnson, Moondance

“Landrys Roan Cowboy, RC as I call him, is a great all around horse. He always gives 110% of what I ask of him.” – Justin Gery, age 12, J&M Miniatures

“Gold Dust was one of Vern Brewer’s very favorites. We are very lucky to have her in our breeding program. Bred to Prince Tennessee of Monashee, Gold Dust took AMHA National Top Three while pregnant with Celebrations Tennessee Legend – who is making a successful career in the show ring & producing outstanding foals.” – Shari Washburn, Celebration Ranch

“When we first saw a picture of Dels Cowboy, we wanted a foal by him. Now we have her, our Cowboy daughter Dulcinea, who has every quality we dreamed of wrapped in a pretty pinto package!” – Adolf & Sandra Fernandez, Zarzuela Miniatures

“Owning a Dels Cowboy baby gives you Beauty, Perfection and a Good Natured Friend.” – Sharon & Gary Sergeant, Deschutes River Miniature Horse Ranch

“Dels Cowboy has been one of my very favorite stallions since the first time I saw him shown as a young stallion. I have been privileged to own one of his first National Champion daughters and now one of his sons is an important part of our breeding program.” – Tony Greaves, Little America Miniature Horses

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to own and show a Dels Cowboy son. Blue Angel is everything I was looking for in an AMHA show horse; presence, refinement, temperament, athletic ability and personality. Thank you again, Robin’s Nest Ranch for selling this exceptional horse to me.” – Kristy Pruett, Three Star Ranch
